Whether freight or passenger, on road or rail, in the last few years transportation has had to comply with a more regulated environment with industry regulations (AAR M1003), other compliance system requirements (ISO 9001) and state, federal and local requirements.

If managed, the introduction of these systems has shown great benefits in ensuring organizations are kept more consistent in their approach and streamlined in the provision of services they provide.

However, there are challenges. One main challenge in introducing and managing these programs is to ensure items and issues are dealt with in a timely manner. Tasks such as getting approvals and introducing new procedures or identifying and tracking customer complaints and incidents can be very time consuming; usually involving various follow up calls and emails.

Other areas that cause endless effort are keeping track of regularly scheduled tasks such as calibration of equipment, ensuring that training is carried out and retraining is scheduled on a timely basis. Paradigm 3 is designed to alleviate all of these time consuming, mundane tasks. This enables you to focus on the main benefit of having a structured quality program, being able to review your system and knowing it is in control, while looking for areas of improvement.

To enable you to manage your system, Paradigm 3 provides a suite of tools. These include:

Document Control: Paradigm 3 controls documents and information in any file format to manage each control environment element including accounts, processes, requirements, procedures and work instructions.

Training: ensures that personnel are trained and ongoing qualifications are kept up to date.

Auditing: schedules and completes audits in a timely basis. Instigates and investigates CAPA, utilizing our targeted action items to ensure successful completion.

Customer complaints/incident reporting: manages customer complaints and/or incidents in a proactive manner using our totally customizable templates that guide you from initial complaint, through root cause analysis, to action planning and implementation.

Risk Assessment: defines and documents any and all risks utilizing a customized form in the Improvement Generator. Assesses and rates each individual risk for prioritization by analyzing risk based on established factors.

Calibration: manages calibration and maintenance of equipment, informing of scheduled activities via action items to assigned personnel. Ensure calibrations are done on time with our action item escalation feature. If set, it informs an area coordinator or manager of dates passed without action.
